Common use of TRANSFER OF LANDLORD Clause in Contracts

TRANSFER OF LANDLORD. It is agreed that if the Landlord or Landlord's spouse is transferred back to the Washington Metropolitan area by his/her employer or otherwise accepts employment in the Washington Metropolitan area or is discharged from active duty with the Armed Forces of the United States or from full-time duty or technician status with the Virginia National Guard, the Landlord shall have the right to terminate this Lease by giving Tenant at least sixty (60) days' Notice in writing whereupon the Tenant shall vacate and surrender possession of the Premises to the Landlord within the termination time period.

It is agreed that if the Landlord or Landlord's spouse is transferred back to the Washington Metropolitan area by his/her Landlord’s employer or otherwise accepts employment in the Washington Metropolitan area or is discharged from active duty with the Armed Forces of the United States or from full-time duty or technician status with the Virginia National Guard, and that Landlord wants to reside in the Premises, then Landlord shall have the right to terminate this Lease by giving Tenant at least sixty (60) days' Notice days notice in writing whereupon the Tenant shall vacate and surrender possession of the Premises to the Landlord within the termination time period.
