Common use of Transfer of Landlord’s Interest Clause in Contracts

Transfer of Landlord’s Interest. This Lease shall be assignable by Landlord without the consent of Tenant. In the event of any transfer or transfers of Landlord's interest in the Premises, other than a transfer for collateral purposes only, upon the assumption of this Lease by the transferee, Landlord shall be automatically relieved of obligations and liabilities accruing from and after the date of such transfer, including any liability for any retained security deposit or prepaid rent, for which the transferee shall be liable, and Tenant shall attorn to the transferee.
