Common use of Transfer of Service Announcements Clause in Contracts

Transfer of Service Announcements. When an end-user who continues to be located within the local calling area changes from Sprint to CLEC and does not retain its original telephone number which was provided by Sprint, Sprint will provide a new number announcement on the inactive telephone number upon request, for a minimum period of ninety (90) Days (or some shorter reasonable period, as permitted by the Commission, when numbers are in short supply), at no charge to the end-user or the CLEC unless Sprint has a Tariff on file to charge end-users. This announcement will provide details on the new number to be dialed to reach this customer where available.
