Common use of TRANSIT PLACE AT SUPPLY BASE Clause in Contracts

TRANSIT PLACE AT SUPPLY BASE. The Operator may provide Space at its Supply base for transit storage of materials required for carrying out drilling operations. It is agreed that the Contractor shall remove their materials (Non-Serviceable or Serviceable) at their cost within 30 days from the time of arrival of material from the space provided by the Operator at supply base. Any material being stored by Contractor beyond 30 days, the Operator would charge a ground rent as per Mumbai Port Trust / Kolkatta Port Trust/ Chennai Port Trust / Kakinada Port Trust rate applicable on the day of removal of material and will be recovered from any amount due to the Contractor without giving any further notice. In case, material is stored due to variable load constraint, no ground rent shall be charged. Further, Contractor shall obtain all necessary clearances from Customs for storage and removal of materials from Stores.
