Trial Program on Time Off for Compression. This Letter of Understanding is made pursuant to Article 8 of the Collective Agreement (Conditions of Practice). The Parties agree that where teacher instructional time is compressed and where current Collective Agreements are silent, teachers will receive time off in relation to the additional time worked as provided for in the chart below. Days will be rounded to the nearest 0.25 for this calculation. It is recognized by both Parties that flexibility is required to maintain the calendar for the Employer but also provide assurance for teachers that increases in the length of instructional days may result in associated time off for teachers.
