Common use of UNAUTHORISED OR INCORRECT PAYMENTS Clause in Contracts

UNAUTHORISED OR INCORRECT PAYMENTS. 20.1 You must read your statements carefully on receipt and review your online account regularly. If you do not recognise any transaction, or you believe that a payment has not been correctly executed, you must tell us as soon as possible. 20.2 If a payment goes to the wrong beneficiary or is delayed because you gave us the wrong payment details, we will not be liable but, if you ask us, we will try to recover the payment for you. We may charge our reasonable costs for doing this but we will tell you the maximum amount you will pay first. 20.3 We will do what we can to trace an incorrect payment and tell you what happens (for a charge).
