UNIT ASSIGNMENT AND CLASSIFICATION Clause Samples
The Unit Assignment and Classification clause defines how individual units within a property or development are designated and categorized. Typically, this clause outlines the process for assigning unit numbers or identifiers and specifies the criteria for classifying units, such as by size, use, or location. For example, residential units might be distinguished from commercial spaces, or units may be grouped by building or floor. The core function of this clause is to ensure clear identification and organization of units, which facilitates management, record-keeping, and the allocation of rights and responsibilities among unit owners or occupants.
UNIT ASSIGNMENT AND CLASSIFICATION. A. At such time that the State Personnel Board creates a new civil service class in State employment, the State shall mail a notice to UAPD of the unit assignment, if any, of such class. UAPD shall have thirty (30) calendar days after mailing of such notice to protest the State's unit assignment. If UAPD elects to protest, the State shall meet and confer with UAPD in an effort to reach agreement on the unit assignment for the class. If the parties are unable to reach agreement, the dispute shall be submitted to the PERB for resolution. If UAPD does not protest the unit assignment within the 30-day notice period, the unit assignment of the new class shall be deemed agreeable to the parties and PERB shall be so advised.
