Common use of Unit Entry Clause in Contracts

Unit Entry. The Manager subscribes to the principle that Residents are entitled to enjoy a reasonable right to privacy in residence Units. However, the Resident acknowledges that the Manager is entitled, without notice and without the Resident being present, to have authorized staff, the Institution’s security services, emergency services, or the police enter the Unit at reasonable times under the following conditions: (a) to provide repair and maintenance services as detailed in section 4.05 of this Agreement; (b) to inspect the Unit as detailed in section 4.06 of this Agreement; (c) to ensure the safety and security of the Resident and/or when there is reasonable cause to believe an emergency situation has arisen; (d) during the Winter Break to provide routine maintenance; (e) when there is reasonable cause to believe that terms of this Agreement and/or the Residence Community Living Standards detailed in section 7.01 and/or the law is being violated. Authorized staff are supplied with a uniform and identification that is visible at all times.
