Common use of United States of America named as assured Clause in Contracts

United States of America named as assured. The above policies shall name the United States of America as an assured and shall provide that all losses shall be payable to the Secretary of Transportation acting by and through the Maritime Administrator. The policies shall also provide no recourse against the United States of America for payment of premium and a 10 day prior written notice of cancellation or material change in the policy to the Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, Director, Office of Marine Insurance, MAR-780, 0000 Xxx Xxxxxx Xxx., XX, X00-000, Xxxxxxxxxx, XX 00000. The amounts, limits, terms and conditions, deductibles and underwriters in all the above policies shall be satisfactory to the Maritime Administration.
