Unplanned Harvests. Emergency situations, such as natural disasters (wildfire, blowdown events, or insect infestations), or personal circumstances such as illness or death, may require harvesting. For above-baseline conditions, the enrolled landowner will notify ODF of their harvest as soon as possible and document the circumstances and actions taken in their annual report. For emergency situations involving spotted owl nest sites/activity centers, the landowner will notify ODF before harvesting begins. ODF will consult with the Service and evaluate each case on an individual basis and will provide the landowner with direction as to how to maintain compliance with the Agreement and permit.
