Common use of Use as Substitute Teacher Clause in Contracts

Use as Substitute Teacher. Employees shall not be used in place of a regularly scheduled teacher whenever possible. In the event that an employee is required to work in place of a regularly scheduled teacher, the employee shall be paid time and a half for that specific period of time provided the length of time is at least one-half hour in length.

In the event that an employee is required to work in place of a regularly scheduled teacher, the employee shall be paid time and a half for that specific period of time time, provided the length of time is at least one-half hour in length. If an employee is required to work as a substitute for a full-day, they will be paid time and a half, or the daily substitute teacher rate, whichever is greater.
