Use of Information or Documents. 1. Contracting Parties shall not use any information or document handled under this Agreement for purposes other than those pertaining to this Agreement. 2. Nothing in this Agreement shall preclude a Contracting Party from complying with provisions of Union or national law applicable to it regarding public access to documents, the protection of personal data or the protection of classified information. 3. To the extent possible under the applicable Union or national law, any Contracting Party considering the release of any information or document handled under this Agreement, shall consult in writing the originator of the information or document in good time prior to releasing the information or document in question, and shall take the utmost account of the views of the originator. Where prior consultation in accordance with the first subparagraph is not possible, the Contracting Party shall nonetheless inform the originator of the release including the factual and legal circumstances pertaining to it without undue delay. 4. Each Contracting Party shall be responsible for ensuring that all persons working in connection with this Agreement for that Contracting Party are legally bound to respect the obligations in paragraphs 1 and 3 during their employment and following the termination of their employment. 5. Without prejudice to Article 33(1), where persons working in connection with this Agreement are not employed by a Contracting Party, the Contracting Party that they are assisting shall enter into a contractual arrangement with the relevant employer by which the latter imposes the obligations in paragraphs 1 and 3 on its employee.
