USE OF THE LICENSED WORK. 3.1. Throughout the term of this Licence, the Licensee, and Authorised Schools may for Educational Purposes only: 3.1.1. make such temporary local electronic copies of the Licensed Work as are necessary to ensure efficient use by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence; 3.1.2. allow Authorised Users to access the Licensed Work by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view, and otherwise use portions thereof; 3.1.3. allow Authorised Users to electronically save parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.4. allow Authorised Users to print out copies of parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.5. provide single printed or electronic copies of parts of the Licensed Work at the request of individual Authorised Users; 3.1.6. incorporate parts of the Licensed Work for use by Authorised Users in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and interactive whiteboards) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; 3.1.8. display, download and print parts of the Licensed Work for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, testing of the Licensed Work, or for training Authorised Users; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of the Licensed Work as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at any School at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of Authorised Schools and Authorised Users under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002 and nothing in this Licence shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Licensee, Authorised Schools and Authorised Users from time to time under these Acts or any amending legislation.

Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Course packs Materials in non-electronic non-non- print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users, when required to meet DDA requirements; 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School Library Authority provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; 3.1.8. display, download and print parts of the Licensed Work for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, testing of the Licensed Work, or for training Authorised Users; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of the Licensed Work as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activityactivity for educational use; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at in any School Library Authority classroom at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using providing training in the use of the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of the Licensee, Authorised Schools Institutions and Authorised Users under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002 and nothing in this Licence shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Licensee, Authorised Schools Institutions and Authorised Users from time to time under these Acts or any amending legislation.

USE OF THE LICENSED WORK. 3.1. 3.1 Throughout the term of this LicenceAgreement, the Licensee, and Authorised Schools may for Educational Purposes onlyInstitution may: 3.1.1. 3.1.1 make such temporary local electronic copies of all or part of the Licensed Work as are necessary to ensure efficient use by Authorised UsersUsers and Authorised Demonstrators, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this LicenceAgreement; 3.1.2. 3.1.2 allow Authorised Users and Authorised Demonstrators to access the Licensed Work by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view, and otherwise use portions thereof; 3.1.3. 3.1.3 allow Authorised Users and Authorised Demonstrators to electronically save parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.4. 3.1.4 allow Authorised Users and Authorised Demonstrators to print out copies of parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.5. 3.1.5 provide single printed or electronic copies by email of parts of the Licensed Work at the request of individual individuals. Copies in non-electronic, non-print perceptible form such as Braille may be made available to Authorised Users; 3.1.6. 3.1.6 supply to an authorised user of another library (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission, using Ariel software or its equivalent, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing) a single copy of parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.7 incorporate parts of the Licensed Work for use by Authorised Users in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials lists and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and interactive whiteboardslibrary environments) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part sponsors of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessmentsuch Academic Works. Throughout the term of this Licence, the Licensee, and Authorised Schools Institutions may for Educational Purposes only: 3.1.1. make such temporary local electronic copies of the Licensed Work as are necessary to ensure efficient use by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Licence; 3.1.2. allow Authorised Users to access the Licensed Work by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display and view, and otherwise use portions thereof; 3.1.3. allow Authorised Users to electronically save parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.4. allow Authorised Users to print out copies of parts of the Licensed Work; 3.1.5. provide single printed or electronic copies of parts of the Licensed Work at the request of individual Authorised Users; 3.1.6. incorporate parts of the Licensed Work for use by Authorised Users in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and interactive whiteboards) hosted on a Secure Network. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School Institution provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; 3.1.8. display, download and print parts of the Licensed Work for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, testing of the Licensed Work, or for training Authorised Users; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of the Licensed Work as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at any School Institution at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of the Licensee, Authorised Schools Institutions and Authorised Users under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002 and nothing in this Licence shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Licensee, Authorised Schools Institutions and Authorised Users from time to time under these Acts or any amending legislation.

USE OF THE LICENSED WORK. 3.1. 3.1 Throughout the term of this Licence, Sub-Licence the Licensee, and Authorised Schools Sub-Licensee may for Educational Purposes only: 3.1.1. 3.1.1 make such temporary local electronic copies (by way of streaming and embed code only) of all or part of the Licensed Work as are necessary to ensure efficient use by Authorised Users, provided that such use is subject to all the terms and conditions of this Sub-Licence; 3.1.2. 3.1.2 allow Authorised Users to access (via streaming) the Licensed Work by Secure Authentication in order to search, retrieve, display view and view, and otherwise use portions thereofdisplay. 3.1.3 allow Authorised Users to add to BBC Metadata by creating Project Specific Metadata; 3.1.3. 3.1.4 to allow Authorised Users to electronically save embed parts of the Licensed WorkEncodings (via embed code), BBC Metadata and Project Specific Metadata; 3.1.4. 3.1.5 to allow Authorised Users to print out copies of parts of captured still pictures from the Licensed WorkEncodings for Educational Purposes only; 3.1.5. provide single printed or electronic copies of parts of the Licensed Work at the request of individual 3.1.6 to allow Authorised Users; 3.1.6. Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work for use by Authorised Users Encodings (via embed code only), BBC Metadata and Project Specific Metadata in printed and electronic course packsand study packs hosted on a Secure Network, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multi-media works) to be used in the course of instruction and/or in virtual and managed environments (including but not limited to virtual learning environments, managed learning environments, virtual research environments and interactive whiteboards) hosted on a Secure Networkmulti- media works for Educational Purposes. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered . 3.1.7 to Authorised Users 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work Encodings (via embed code only), BBC Metadata and Project Specific Metadata in printed or electronic form in assignments assignments, portfolios (including non-public display thereof) and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”)in dissertations, including reproductions of the Academic Works dissertation for personal useuse and library deposit, if such use the same conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessmentSub-Licensee. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner;. 3.1.8. 3.1.8 to display, download stream and print parts of the Licensed Work Encodings for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, or testing of the Licensed Worksame, or for training Authorised UsersDemonstrators for Educational Purposes Only; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of 3.1.9 to deposit the Licensed Work learning and teaching objects as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work referred to in printed and Clause 3.1.7 in electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at any School at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of Authorised Schools and Authorised Users under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002 and nothing in this Licence shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held repositories operated by the Licensee, Authorised Schools Sub-Licensee on a Secure Network and Authorised Users from time to time under these Acts or any amending legislation.be accessed and used by the applicable repository on terms and conditions consistent with the terms and conditions of this Agreement;

Course packs Materials in non-electronic non-non- print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users, when required to meet DDA requirements; 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; 3.1.8. display, download and print parts of the Licensed Work for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, testing of the Licensed Work, or for training Authorised Users; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of the Licensed Work as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activityactivity for educational use; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at in any School classroom at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using providing training in the use of the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2. This Licence shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of the Licensee, Authorised Schools and Authorised Users under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002 and nothing in this Licence shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Licensee, Authorised Schools and Authorised Users from time to time under these Acts or any amending legislation.

To the best of their ability Authorised Users should use the durable links provided in the Licensed Work to incorporate individual articles in electronic course packs. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner. Course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as Braille, may also be offered to Authorised Users 3.1.7. allow Authorised Users to incorporate parts of the Licensed Work in printed or electronic form in assignments and portfolios, theses and coursework (“the Academic Works”), including reproductions of the Academic Works for personal use, if such use conforms to the customary and usual practice of the Authorised School provided that by so doing parts of the Licensed Work will not be accessible to persons who are not Authorised Users except that reproductions in printed or electronic form of Academic Works may be provided to examining bodies or as part of portfolios submitted to higher or further education institutions for assessment. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; 3.1.8. display, download and print parts of the Licensed Work for the purpose of promotion of the Licensed Work, testing of the Licensed Work, or for training Authorised Users; 3.1.9. publicly display or publicly perform parts of the Licensed Work as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activityactivity under the doctrine of “fair dealing”; 3.1.10. allow Authorised Users who have incorporated parts of the Licensed Work in printed and electronic course packs, study packs, resource lists, teaching materials and in any other material (including but not limited to multimedia works) to use those materials in delivering a course of instruction at any School at which they may be employed. Each item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and copyright owner; and 3.1.11. make such copies of training material and network such training material as may be required for the purpose of using the Licensed Work in accordance with this Licence. 3.2.
