Common use of Vacation Upon Dismissal Clause in Contracts

Vacation Upon Dismissal. An employee who has been employed for more than five (5) years and is dismissed will receive payment for his vacation which he has earned in the previous year and not yet taken. He may receive vacation credit earned in the present year as determined by the Chief of Police. Total vacation credit will be calculated to the nearest full day.
