Vested legislators. Coverage begins the first day of the month after a full month’s premium has been paid. Premium is paid by the vested legislator. Enrollment in basic group term life insurance for vested legislators must be elected by the vested legislator. Vested legislators are not required to continue coverage. They remain eligible for coverage at all times, even if they have elected not to enroll or have terminated coverage in the past.
