Common use of VET Clause in Contracts

VET. Overtime shall be compensated for in the following manner: The employee shall be paid overtime at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's regular hourly rate and for a minimum of two (2) hours per emergency call-out. Any additional emergency calls attended subsequent to the initial emergency call but handled during a single call-out shall not be eligible for the two (2) hours minimum payment. In calculating overtime entitlement, time expended in excess of two (2) hours shall be rounded off to the next half (1/2) hour.
