Common use of VET Clause in Contracts

VET. Where an employee is required to work on a holiday, the employee shall have the choice of a day off in lieu of the holiday at such time as can be mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee during the calendar year in which the holiday is worked. Such re-scheduled days shall not be carried from one calendar year to the next, except that re-scheduled days for work on Christmas and Boxing Day may be carried over to the next calendar year.
