Voluntary Abatement. The Union, on behalf of all grievants, may withdraw a grievance and/or not authorize progression of a grievance at any step in the grievance procedure. The City agrees that withdrawal of a grievance does not constitute a precedent for future grievance remedies. The City further agrees that it shall not offer a settlement which violates the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
