Common use of Voluntary Acceptance Clause in Contracts

Voluntary Acceptance. Employees are under no legal obligation to the District or to a college/university involved to accept a student teacher, intern, or practicum student. If the employee does accept this responsibility, he/she does so on a voluntary basis.

The district will provide a mechanism for teachers to opt into supervising student teachers, interns, and/or practicum students.
