Wage Continuance. When an employee is injured in the performance of their duties, or when an employee incurs an industrial illness, and the accident or illness is compensable under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act, the difference between the employee’s regular net pay and the Workers’ Compensation payment will be paid by the Employer for a period not to exceed one year and shall not reduce the employee’s sick leave credits. In no event will the amount paid to the employee be less than the amount the Employer receives from the Workers’ Compensation Board.
