Common use of Waiver of Appraisal Clause in Contracts

Waiver of Appraisal. Except as required by paragraph C.3. of this Article, the Government may waive the requirement for an appraisal pursuant to this paragraph if it determines that an appraisal is unnecessary because the valuation is uncomplicated and that the estimated fair market value of the real property interest is $10,000 or less based upon a review of available data. In such event, the Government and the Non-Federal Sponsor must agree in writing to the value of such real property interest in an amount not in excess of $10,000.
