WORK DAY OR DAY. Except for those specialized units as determined by the Police Chief, a workday or day is defined as ten (10) hours for employees on a 4/3 schedule and eight (8) hours for employees on a 5/2 schedule. For the purposes of benefit accrual employees on a 4/3 schedule shall accrue benefits at the rate of ten (10) hours per day and may utilize said benefits at the rate of ten (10) hours per day except for sick leave, which shall be accumulated at 96 hours per year.
