The goal of this initiative is to address the needs of the health IT labor market estimated to increase by 18 percent through 2016 (Bureau of Labor Statistics). This funding opportunity will serve as a pilot project to stimulate education, training, and job creation in Florida’s most distressed rural counties. The role of the Agency is to oversee the health information technology certificate’s content design and curriculum.
