Xxxxxxx’x Decision. The Xxxxxxx, after first considering the committee's recommendation, shall within twenty (20) business days decide upon which disciplinary measures, if any, shall be taken. The Xxxxxxx shall set forth in writing this final decision and reasons for it. The committee, the faculty member, and the Chapter shall receive copies.

Xxxxxxx’x Decision. The Xxxxxxx has plenary authority to award or deny 36 tenure. The candidate will be notified in writing of the Xxxxxxx’x decision. A tenured appointment 39 may not be less than .50 FTE. If tenure is granted, the letter will include a statement 40 indicating the FTE of the tenured appointment. The foregoing does not preclude a subsequent written agreement between 42 the Xxxxxxx or designee and the candidate adjusting the FTE of the appointment, so long as 43 the appointment is at least .50 FTE. 44 45 Successful candidates are granted tenure and assume their new classification and rank at 46 the start of the next academic year, or sooner at the discretion of the Xxxxxxx.
