Common use of YOU, AND CERTAIN OTHER PERSONS, WAIVE CERTAIN RIGHTS Clause in Contracts

YOU, AND CERTAIN OTHER PERSONS, WAIVE CERTAIN RIGHTS. You waive your rights to require the Holder to do certain things. They are: (a) to demand payment of amounts due (known as “presentment”); (b) to give notice that amounts due have not been paid (known as “notice of dishonor”); and (c) to obtain an official certification of nonpayment (known as a “protest”). Anyone else who agrees to keep the promises made in this Note, who agrees to make payments to the Holder if you fail to keep your promises under this Note or who signs this Note to transfer it to someone else, also waives these rights. (These persons are known as “guarantors, sureties and endorsers”.) You and each guarantor, surety and endorser consent to any extension of the time by which the payment of this Note or any monthly payments must be made and to any other change to the terms of this Note (this includes the release of any person liable on this Note).
