Zoning Designations. 1. Port-owned property located within the City shall be zoned either “AVO-- Aviation Operations” or “AVC--Aviation Commercial”. The descriptions of the AVO and AVC zones are as follows: a. Aviation Operations (AVO). The Aviation Operations zone is designated for facilities or structures that provide safe and efficient movement of the traveling public, employees, and goods and services associated with airport operations. b. Aviation Commercial (AVC). The Aviation Commercial zone is designated for airport related and non-airport related commercial, industrial or light manufacturing use, while maintaining compatibility with airport operations and activities. 2. If the Port acquires property located within the City after the effective date of this Agreement, the Port shall request a site specific rezone pursuant to SMC 15.115.050 (and as authorized by RCW 35A.63.170) to rezone the property to either AVO or AVC. The City shall facilitate the processing of the Port’s application for a rezone of Port-owned property to the AVO or AVC zoning designations in a timely and consistent manner pursuant to the process found in SMC 15.115.050.
