WHEREAS, on Monday, August 6, 2018 at approximately 1317 hours, a fire started in the Holy Jim Canyon- Cleveland National Forest. The event was named the “Holy Fire.” The fire moved swiftly in an east/northeast direction towards Riverside County, threatening critical communications towers in Orange County, requiring mandatory evacuations and road closures including Highway 74, which affected both Counties. Incident Command established a single Joint Information Center for both Orange and Riverside Counties at the Orange County Operational Area Emergency Operations Center.
