CITY ENGINEER ITEM OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER CITY OF DES MOINES, IOWA SYNOPSIS - The City and the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) have negotiated a Preconstruction Agreement for the 24th Street Sanitary Sewer Relocation Project. Approval of this agreement will allow for construction that has been bid and will be administered by IDOT. This sanitary sewer relocation work is the first outcome of the Predesign Agreement between IDOT and the City that was approved on August 31, 2000, by Roll Call No. 00-3634. FISCAL IMPACT - The construction cost for the project is $780,000, which is part of the$12.7 million capped cost for sanitary and storm sewers related to the Interstate 235 (I-235) project.
