The attached ordinance and intergovernmental agreement are a result of the Committee of the Whole meetings held on December 10, 2001, and January 28, 2002, which discussed Urbana’s share of the subject intersection improvements initiated by the City of Champaign. After the January 28 meeting, staff was directed to negotiate an agreement where Urbana’s share would not exceed twenty percent of the construction and engineering costs for the east leg of each intersection. The attached intergovernmental agreement satisfies that directive.
