Background: This agreement is established so that the Dacono Police Department and the Dacono Municipal Court can utilize the services of the Weld County Jail for purposes of confinement and/or punishment for violations of the Dacono Municipal Code. While this option is infrequently used by either the police department or the municipal court, it is utilized from time to time. This agreement establishes the purpose, use, and rules of use surrounding the use of the Weld County Jail for municipal purposes. This agreement has been reviewed by the Dacono city attorney.
