This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) is hereby made and entered into by and between Research and Development of the U.S. Forest Service (the “Forest Service”) and partners (the “Collaborative”) comprising the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities (the “Endowment”), the American Forest Foundation (AFF), the National Alliance of Forest Owners (NAFO), the American Wood Council (AWC), the Hardwood Federation, the Decorative Hardwoods Association (DHA), and the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association (NWPCA) to establish a cooperative relationship to support development and delivery of a publicly accessible platform for accessing and estimating forest and harvested wood carbon using USDA Forest Entity-Level Guidance and other applicable measurement, monitoring, reporting and verification (MMRV) methodologies for the United States forest sector.
