Contract Type FiledOctober 30th, 2012This summer, an agreement was signed between the KU Leuven and the University of Kyushu establishing a Double Degree between the Master in European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives (MAES) and the Graduate School of Law of the University of Kyushu, Japan. This agreement allows selected students from the Kyushu Graduate School of Law to follow MAES as part of their education to obtain a M.LL. and by so doing obtain two master degrees, while it allows selected students from MAES after completion of their courses to continue graduate studies at the Graduate School of Law in Kyushu, including Comparative Studies of Politics and Administration in Asia (CSPA), the International Economic and Business Laws (IEBL), and the Bilingual Program (BiP) in (Japanese) Law, and also obtain two master degrees. This Double Degree programme illustrates the ambition of MAES to train and educate students to operate successfully in a global environment, in Europe as well as in Asia.
