Overtime shall be compensated at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the employee's regular rate of pay for every hour of overtime worked. “Regular rate of pay” as used in this provision shall mean the same as that phrase is defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This does not include Holiday Pay unless the 9th Circuit rules that it must be included in the “regular rate of pay”. Payment for overtime shall not be made unless such overtime has been authorized by the City prior to such overtime being worked.
