The 25% design plans, including preliminary right-of-way plans, structural inspection reports, orders of resource delineations, and other related documents were submitted to Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) (formerly Massachusetts Highway Department (“MassHighway”)). MassDOT has provided review comments to these documents. The Consultant agrees to address and resolve the MassDOT review comments as part of the Basic Services under this Agreement.

Kelley’s Corner is located at the intersections of Massachusetts Avenue (Route 111), Main Street (Route 27) and Community Lane. The project involves roadway rehabilitation to approximately 0.4 miles on Main Street (Rte. 27) and approximately .6 miles on Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111). Additional roadway work includes providing pedestrian and bicycle accommodations on both sides of all roadways, curb cut management, and the inclusion of center turn lanes, streetscape and utility improvements including landscaping, and street lighting. The proposed improvements also include upgraded signals at the intersection of Route 27 and Route 111 and new signalization at Route 27 and Community Lane.
