This Memorandum of Agreement shall be for the purpose of facilitating joint research between NASA and the CDC and provide a platform for collaboration and sharing innovative ideas in science and technology to address challenges that can benefit both organizations in identifying state-of-the-art solutions in support of health care infrastructure and delivery systems (e.g., space exploration and global medicine). NASA and the CDC seek to evaluate strategies and methodologies associated with medical capabilities and equipment usability that support NASA's missions, while assisting the CDC in enhancing its capabilities and infrastructure for health care delivery, research, and prevention. The collaboration framework will be through a knowledge transfer partnership with the CDC to facilitate mutual sharing of research.
