The marriage agreement is an agreement between prospective husband and wife before or during marriage, which regulates the consequences of marriage law in accordance with Indonesian law, including Civil Code, Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, Compilation of Islamic Law, and MK Decision No. 69/PUI-XIII/2015. According to Indonesian law, marriage agreements need to be signed by a notary and recorded by marriage recording officials. However, sometimes a married couple is delayed in registering their marriage agreement to the marriage recording official. The purpose of this study is to examine the result of the law of marriage agreements that are late and their legal efforts. This research method uses normative juridical research.
