Since the cooperative agreement was signed between Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Sapienza University of Rome in 2016, both parties have been devoted to cooperating on cultural exchange, faculty visiting and students joint-training programs. In January 2017, ZUEL established the Sino- Italian Law Research Center and in March 2017, the Chinese law library at SUR; In April 2018, both sides had successfully applied to Ministry of Education for the Sino- foreign cooperation in running schools program "European Studies: Comparative Law and European Law" which has already carried out the teaching orderly.
