Coastal Multichrome ceased metal plating operations at this location in 2001. On August 30, 2001, the CUPA, and the Oxnard Building Department and Code Enforcement performed a joint inspection of Coastal Multichrome. During the inspection, the Oxnard Building Department red-tagged the building. Subsurface contamination at the site has been documented since the early 1980's. The property owner, M.V.S., Inc., is planning to demolish the existing building.
