WHEREAS the Governments of Australia, Bangladesh, the People’s Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Viet Nam (hereinafter referred to as “the Governments Parties”) are parties to the Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology, 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “1987 Regional Cooperative Agreement”) which entered into force on 12 June 1987, was extended on 12 June 1992, then on 12 June 1997, then on 12 June 2002, and then on 12 June 2007, and is to remain in force for a period of five years from that date;
