It encourages cooperation between countries through the sharing of common resources and assets to achieve stability, peace and wealth. One of the main objectives of regional integration is to promote economic development and trade cooperation. This paper looks at how the Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union (EU) and the SADC EPA Group of countries (SADC-EU EPA) provides a building block for regional integration in Southern Africa as well as facilitating greater linkages with the rest of the world.
