This Agreement for a Joint Groundwater Substitution Transfer (“Agreement”) is made effective this June , 2022 between the Sacramento County Water Agency (hereinafter referred to as “SCWA), a statutorily created district operating under the authority of and pursuant to the provisions of the Sacramento County Water Agency Act (California Water Code-Appendix, chapter 66, commencing at section 66-1 et seq.), and the City of Sacramento, a charter city (“City”). For purposes of this Agreement, SCWA and the City also will each be called a “Party” and collectively the “Parties.”
