This DISAFFILIATION AGREEMENT PURSUANT TO ¶ 2553 (the “Disaffiliation Agreement”) is entered into this 22nd day of March, 2023, by and between MOUNT CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, a North Carolina unincorporated non-profit religious association (formerly known Mount Carmel Methodist Church, Mount Carmel Methodist Episcopal Church South, Mount Carmel Methodist Episcopal Church, and Mount Carmel Meeting House) (the “Local Church”) and THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA CONFERENCE, UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, INC., a North Carolina non-
