The parties hereto recognize that it is to their mutual interest to promote, as much as possible, safe conditions, efficiency of operations, service to the public, and protection of property. It is understood and agreed that this can best be and maintained through a co-operative relationship among the Hospital, the employees, and the Association Representatives, and by the settlement of all differences in a prompt and equitable manner.

The parties hereto agree it is mutually beneficial and desirable to promote an effective collective bargaining relationship, and to set forth herein the agreements concerning rates of pay, hours of work, and conditions of employment for all employees recognized herein, which are to be observed insofar as they affect the Hospital's operations.
