This Agreement, entered into by the Town of Southington (hereinafter referred to as the “Town”) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council Local 1303-424 (hereinafter referred to as the “Union”) has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the Town and the Union; the establishment of an equitable and peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences; and the establishment of rates of pay, hours of work, working privileges or benefits or any other matters that come within the general meaning of the terms “working conditions” or “conditions of employment”.
