The bilateral educational and cultural cooperation between the Secretary of Public Education of Mexico and the State Department of Education of California began in 1983 at which time the collaboration was in the area of teacher training. Courses in language, methodology, and children’s literature were developed especially for the last five years of the exchange between the two educational systems.
