The parties enter into this agreement to provide Solid Waste Management Planning and Services for the Village of Anvik. The Anvik City Council (hereinafter called The City) currently operates the Municipal Solid Waste Landfill with an interim land lease agreement from Deloy Ges Inc. The Anvik Tribal Council (hereinafter called The Tribe) is developing an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan through its IGAP Environmental Office, and pursuing funding to improve current solid waste management practices. The City and The Tribe will work cooperatively to pursue State and Federal funding, and develop environmentally sound waste management strategies to modernize current waste management practices, and operate within State and Federal guidelines and regulations.
