Contract Type FiledOctober 30th, 2020In 2017, the East Peoria Police Department entered into a three-year Intergovernmental Agreement with East Peoria High School District 309 to provide a School Resource Officer. Both parties believe that the program has been a success and mutually beneficial. The proposed agreement has been updated to reflect any changes as required by law. Reimbursement from the school for school year 2020-2021 has been prorated by a total of $22,249 due to the 48-day delay related to COVID-19. There will be a 1.75% per annum increase in reimbursement from the school for school year(s) 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 based upon the non-prorated amount of $80,654 for school year 2020-2021. Superintendent Greuter and I would like to have the agreement approved for the next three years, expiring in 2023. Under the “Terms of Agreement” clause, either side may cancel the agreement for budgetary constraints upon thirty days’ notice to the other.
