MIDDLE COLLEGE (“HSHMC”) is an independent charter school, operated as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation and operating autonomously from the San Diego Unified School District pursuant to California Education Code sections 47604 and 47605 et. seq., with the exception of the supervisory oversight by the San Diego Unified School District (“DISTRICT” or “SCHOOL DISTRICT”) which granted HSHMC’S charter; and
