Earlier boundary agreements were negotiated among Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand near the northern entrance to the Strait of Malacca. Burma and Thailand have signed an agreement delimiting their respective continental shelves but they have not exchanged instruments of ratification. A Burma-India boundary in the northern part of the Andaman Sea has yet to be determined.
