Please refer to the attached memorandum from Jamie Salter, Airport Director, regarding the Runway 4-22 reconstruction design engineering agreement. Runway 4-22, otherwise known as the Crosswind Runway, has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of reconstruction. The project was not listed on the Airport Capital Improvement Plan when Burns and McDonnell was selected to engineer those projects, so City staff conducted a request for qualifications for engineering services. Lochner was ultimately chosen. Lochner has submitted a design agreement in the amount of $485,300, of which 90% will be paid by the FAA. City staff has been very happy with Lochner’s work in the past and thinks they will perform well on this project.
